EP 20 - Azimullah Khan
Azimullah Khan was more than a military strategist in India's 1857 revolt against British rule. An intellectual fluent in multiple languages, he engaged scholars in discourses. Appointed minister by Nana Sahib, Khan's pension was halted due to adoption issues, prompting him to seek remedy from Queen Victoria. Khan expanded the rebellion's reach, collaborating with leaders like Tatya Tope and Rani Lakshmibai. His newspaper 'Payam-e-Azadi' voiced the uprising, while he used a French typewriter to spread revolutionary literature.
