Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, also known as Babasaheb, was a visionary leader and architect of the Indian Constitution. Born in 1891 into a Dalit family, he overcame immense social discrimination to become one of the foremost intellectuals and reformists of India. Ambedkar earned multiple degrees, including doctorates from Columbia University and the London School of Economics. He was instrumental in the fight against caste discrimination and worked tirelessly for the rights of the marginalized. As India's first Law Minister, he advocated for gender equality and labor rights, embedding these principles into the framework of the Indian Constitution.
